Service Fees
Official Payments charges a service fee for processing credit card transactions. This fee is not charged by or paid to Cincinnati State. The service fee is assessed to cover operating costs and the costs associated with servicing thousands of credit card transactions. You will be informed of all fees before you authorize your payment.
Official Payments charges a non-refundable service fee of 2.5% of the payment amount. This fee will be assessed to your credit/debit card account. Effective immediately, the college will now be able to offer Visa as a payment option. Visa recently announced that colleges and universities can now charge a percentage-based service fee for tuition related payments. Therefore, students can use all four brands, American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa to make payments.
The Cashier’s Office does not accept credit/debit card payments in-person. Credit card payments may be remitted only through the Cincinnati State online payment site via the “Make a Payment” link on the Cincinnati State MyServices portal.
An electronic check option will be offered as a no-fee alternative to credit/debit card payments. This e-check option is available through the same “Make a Payment” link on the MyServices portal.
